RC Aircraft Autopilot

Motivation

Following my racing drone, I began developing my flying experience with fixed-wing aircraft. Using resources available from the community (designs, tips, etc.), I built and learned to fly the aircraft pictured on this page.

After taking more advanced controls courses, I was inspired to design an autopilot system and implement it in hardware. I envisioned a system where the user defined a sequence of waypoints for the autopilot to navigate.

After a proposal to my professor, I took this on as my capstone Senior Design Project, the culmination of the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Major at Cornell.
